At Yama Yoga we love inviting guest teachers from all over the world to host international workshops in our studios, and have been doing so for over 10 years. Our purpose is to serve and give the community of Doha the opportunity to learn and practice with yogis & yoginis of different backgrounds who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and journey, and teach us ways to improve our practice and continue growing together on the mat and in every day life.
In this workshop lead by a chiropractic physician, we will cover the fundamental anatomy and physiology that underlies the practice of yoga with a special emphasis on the psoas major muscle.
Join us for a pragmatic and technique-based astanga workshop including the practice of primary and intermediate series, jump-thrus and backbends, the philosophy behind yoga and a relaxing yoga Nidra.
Throughout this workshop we will focus on the foundation required for practicing inversions and arm balances. We will learn techniques to safely transition into these inversions and also focus on back-bends.
This workshop will focus on the Jivamukti Yoga method, a form of Hatha Yoga, incorporating non-harming, devotion, study of yogic texts, yoga of deep listening, and meditation. Chanting, meditation, and inspiring music are part of every class.
The theme of this workshop is "Yoga for Selfcare" as we will focus on developing awareness and skills for a sustainable yoga practice. We will focus on the hips and sacral joint, spine, shoulders and neck and lastly on the mind.
Prenatal Yoga TT workshop with Emma Cory
Mindful Birth is an empowering, educational comprehensive teacher training program designed to support women and their partners through the life changing rite of passage of becoming parents. It is one of the only Pregnancy Teacher Training programs based on mindfulness and pregnancy research. Trainings are open to anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of mindful pregnancy, childbirth and parenting.
* To gain RYPT with Yoga Alliance participants need to also complete additional module 2 and module 3 (Full training with assessments is 120 hour Yoga Alliance training in total).
