Suzie and Vanessa

Suzi Robertson-Malt, PhD (Health Science).

Suzi has been practicing yoga since she was 10 years old, but became motivated to become a teacher when she was studying at university – and the Director of Dance was offering Ashtanga Classes. Never before had Suzi experienced a body practice that was so comprehensive and complete in its ability to address all the principles she sought from physical activities:

1.Flexibility

2.Endurance

3.Focus

4.Relaxation

5.Breath Control

Suzi received her initial teacher training certification from David Swenson – an international icon in Ashtanga yoga, in 1994. Since that time, Suzi has taken the opportunity to travel the world attending different teacher training classes in various forms of yoga and pilates from : Vinyasa Flow yoga with Louisa Sears in Byron Bay & Bali to Classic Iyengar, Pranayama and Mysore style Yoga with Paul Callighan in Kho Samui.

The driving principle of Suzi’s teaching is that of Ahimsa – kindness to self and others.

Suzi has received the highest certification level (500) from Yoga Alliance – (the international body for yoga certification)

In September 2008 Suzi moved to Doha to commence work on the Sidra project.
